Arthur and Carole Basha established Barnacle Bill’s in 1982.

Bringing their restaurant expertise from Sydney they established Barnacle Bill’s, with a primary of focus on the best North Queensland has to offer, quality local product in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Initially known as a seafood house, over recent years we have broadened our menu to cater for broader tastes.

Some 36 years on our focus has remained the same, sourcing quality local produce including some of the best of Australian seafood and prime cuts. Our experience has proven this provides our guests with better quality and taste.

We have pulled together a comprehensive wine list to complement the foods with a wide range of tastes and budgets to cater for all.

Located on the Esplanade, the relaxed sea-front views matches our attentive but unobtrusive service, as locals and travellers enjoy all that Cairns and the Esplanade has to offer.
